I have the fondest, fondest memories of Venice from when I went there the summer after I graduated from high school. I think it was the first European city I really loved. The people who were in charge of my trip kept saying it was going to smell bad and be kind of crappy, but when I got there I was just smitten with the sun on the water and the buildings and the canals. Love, love, love...
